Interlanguage development for second language learners


·       An interlanguage is an idiolect that has been developed by a learner of a second language which preserve some features of the first language and can also overgeneralize some L2 writing and speaking rules.

·       Inter language is based on the theory that there is a dominant psychological framework in human brain that is activated when one attempts to learn a second language.
 

·       Who coined the terms interlanguage and fossilization? 
Larry Selinker

·       Interlanguage fossilization is a phenomenon of second language acquisition in which second language turn linguistics features that are correct in their first language into permanent errors in the way they speak and write the new language.

·       Interlanguage serve as a bridge between L1 and l2 when learners lack knowledge and fine mastery of rules, but over time, learner’s progress.


·       Larry Selinker proposed the theory of inter language in 1972.

  Resource mapping 

·       Resource mapping is also known as asset mapping.
 

·        Resource mapping is the process of identifying what is valuable in your community and developing strategies for mobilizing those resources.

·       Regardless of the nature of your program, resource mapping can support a variety of efforts from identify potential partners to finding meeting space and speakers.

·       Resource mapping is a strategy for identifying and analyzing the programs, people, services and other resources that currently exist in your school. This information can help school leaders better assess the needs of the school and to make informed decisions about where to focus change efforts.

M-learning in ELT

·       Mobile learning is the ability to obtain or provide educational content on personal pocket devices such as smartphones and mobile phones.
 

·        M- Learning is a form of distance education.
 

·        M -learning is a informal learning.

Concept of m-learning was given by Alan Kay in 1970's.

Field Trip Report

OBJECTIVES        As part of the B.Ed. curriculum the trainees were supposed to attend a field trip based on a particular theme. The theme of the field trip for the English Optional trainees was art. In other words, to develop the aesthetic sense, philosophy of art, philosophy of beauty, theory of art, imagination and creativity to become an effective teacher in English was the objective of this trip.
